Gen 32:30
And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Q - How could Jacob say he saw God face to face when the bible say no man can see God and live?
A - "This is just a figure of speech. Jesus appeared to Jocab in the form of a man not in the majestic glory of his Godly form. (Gen 32:24) And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. But it is true that sinful man can see God in all his glory and live. Exo 33:20 But,"" he said, ""you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live."" "
